Every song, album or performance is a story that musicians tells their listeners.

Like any good storyteller, a musician should play with our expectations. By introducing new material throughout the song and also returning to sections we have already heard, they keep us on our toes and give us the satisfaction of returning to familiar musical territory. 

Great music can take any form. Understanding how the songs we love are built can help us better understand why those pieces of music have such a strong effect on us.
