Follow along step by step to complete the exercise at your own pace.
Select the “Bass” track and double-click an empty clip slot to create a MIDI Clip.
Write a bass part.
Play with the ADSR envelope to shape the volume over time.
Move to the “Chord” track and create a new MIDI Clip.
Write a chord part.
Use the Fade In and Fade Out controls to shape the chord’s attack and release.
Move to the “Drum” track and create a MIDI Clip.
Select the Slice By setting: Transient, Beat, Region, or Manual.
Write a part for the drums by triggering different slices.
Arrange the slices to create your drum beat.
Make adjustments and arrange your clips out in Arrangement View.
