Exercise 4: Drums, Bass, Wildcard (Move)

Step-By-Step

Follow along step by step to complete the exercise at your own pace.

  1. Open a new set by tapping any blank pad.

  2. Select Track 1, choose a kit, and use the 16 steps to sequence a drum part.

  3. Select Track 2, choose a bass sound and switch to Note Mode.

  4. Set your playing mode to either Chromatic or Scale Mode depending on your preference.

  5. Record a bassline and use the Loop button to define how long your pattern should be.

  6. Select Track 3 and add a wildcard part by either sequencing or recording.

  7. Listen back to everything together and make any final edits.

  8. Extra Credit: Turn the device's knobs to adjust parameters like filters or fades to customize your sound.
