Checking Your Podcast
Do three quick checks to get your podcast ready for the world.
After recording and editing a podcast, creators always listen to the whole thing to make sure it’s ready for the world to hear.
Before you share your podcast, do these three checks:
1. Does it make sense? (Line of Reasoning)
Does your podcast make sense from beginning to end? Do the parts connect? If a part is confusing, you can fix it, add to it, or record it again.
2. Does the tone match? (Tone Check)
Tone is the way your podcast feels. If your podcast is fun and silly, every part should feel fun and silly. If one part feels different, you might want to record it again. Remember Creators, the way you say something makes a big difference!
3. Does the timing work? (Timing Check)
If you’re recording lines one at a time or doing lots of editing, you’ll want to make sure everything sounds natural when it’s pieced together. Move the parts around until the timing feels just right.
When your podcast makes sense, has the right tone, and has good timing, it is ready to share!
