Podcast Production Process

Creators can make podcasts about anything, but they are usually made following the same process. We broke it down into five phases that will guide you every time you make a podcast.

Phase 1: Concept
Decide what your podcast is about and who it is for. Your teacher and the YPG prompts help you with this part. If you ever want to make your own podcast from scratch, this is where you start.

Phase 2: Planning & Writing
Work on your ideas and write down what you are going to say.

Phase 3: Recording
Get ready, then record your voices.

Phase 4: Post-Production
Edit all the pieces together and make your podcast sound great. 

Phase 5: Release & Reflect
Share your podcast with your listeners. Then think about what went well, what you would do differently next time, and what you learned.
