Reflection: Process and Practice

We’ve been asking you to reflect on the individual pieces of your process and practice throughout the Music Production 2 Curriculum. Now that you’ve completed your final project, it’s time to zoom out and look at how all of the pieces fit together. Please write a thorough, thoughtful reflection on your process and practice. If needed, use the questions below to help get you started:

Process: 

• Does your process follow a smooth line from create to develop to refine? Or, do you find yourself bouncing back and forth between them as you work?

• Are there things that you do every time in each part of your process?

• How has your process changed over the course of this year? 

Practice: 

• Have you been able to practice wellness through the technical and creative challenges you’ve faced completing the exercises and projects? 

• How easy is it for you to communicate what’s on your mind and receive the ideas of your collaborators?

• Where is your craftsmanship strongest? Where are you still working to grow? 

• How will you stay hungry creatively and push yourself to experiment?
