Capstone Introduction

Get an overview of the scope, goals, and expectations of your Capstone Project.

Over the next two semesters, you will design and execute a Capstone Project. 

You can write an album, EP, extended composition, or any long-form piece of music that is at least 20 minutes long. You’ll decide the genre, number of tracks, and you’ll define the artistic vision of the project.

You’ll set your production schedule and be responsible for meeting your goals, requiring discipline, effective time management, and commitment to your vision.

In addition to your music, you’ll develop artist statements, business plans, industry analyses, and other materials to prepare you for the professional music world.

This Capstone Project is your industry debut. Approach this with dedication, and you’ll kickstart your career as an artist, producer, engineer, or beyond. We provide the framework; how big you build is up to you. Let's bring your musical vision to life!
