A quick-start for running Soundtrap on iPad for podcasting.
Getting in
Students sign in to Soundtrap through your class setup (Google/education login). Use the Soundtrap app, not the browser, on iPad — it's more stable for recording.
Recording a podcast
Start a new project and pick a podcast mode.
Use a wired or USB-C mic if you have one; the built-in iPad mic is workable in a quiet spot.
Record in short takes against the outline. Tap to add regions per segment so editing later is just rearranging blocks.
Editing basics on touch
Trim by dragging region edges; split to cut mistakes.
Reorder segments by dragging — this is where Key Moments and structure come together.
Keep levels reasonable; don't over-process. Clear beats fancy.
Exporting
Export as an audio file (MP3), then hand off to the recording-plan and RSS-feed workflow for sharing or publishing.
Classroom tip
Headphones for editing, mic discipline for recording. On shared iPads, have students export and save their file at the end of every session so nothing lives only on the device.
