The YPG Podcasting Resources offer a set of videos and connected learning materials that culminate with a collection of classroom-ready prompts that guide students in synthesizing all that they have learned and create podcasts of their own.

    Gets the podcast party started and provides context on how big the booming podcasting industry has become.

  2. FOUNDATIONS
    Establishes what a podcast actually is, the three formats students can work in (Interview, Narrative, Chat), and the roles that make up a professional podcast team.

  3. MEDIA
    Covers the technical craft: setting up a recording space, working in a DAW, and editing audio.

  4. PROCESS
    Walks through the full production workflow from scripts and outlines to pre-to-post production to release and reflection.

  5. CONCLUSION
    Closes the arc and points students toward making their next episode independently.

  6. PROMPTS
    Ready-to-run podcast prompts organized by format (Interview, Narrative, Chat). Each prompt comes with a dedicated graphic organizer that leads students through the production process and a corresponding rubric so teachers can quickly assess their work without listening to the whole podcast.
